Why is AI being used in Medicine?
Artificial Intelligence, also known as AI is technology that is designed to simulate human-level intelligence. Unlike most technology, AI has the ability to learn and adapt from its environment and stimuli that it encounters
More recently, AI has been looked at by programmers and doctors alike as a way to more efficiently diagnose and treat patients. AI algorithms are able to analyze large amounts of data very quickly, and give doctors time to determine the best possible treatment from the data analysis
Why should I care about this topic?
The implementation of AI into medicine has come with little regulation for doctors and medical workers to follow. This leaves us in a strange grey area where what it morally acceptable and unacceptable has not been clearly established by a list of set rules and regulations.
